Summer Language Course for International Students
Students on the Summer Language Course visiting Kenrokuen Garden
Each year during the month of July, we invite students from our overseas partner universities to participate on the Japanese Language Course summer course. Over three weeks, students are given the opportunity to brush up on their Japanese language conversation skills while also experiencing the rich, cultural heritage which Kanazawa has to offer through various cultural activities, events and field trips.
All students stay at the university dormitory, attend Japanese language classes in the mornings (students are split into classes depending on level) and various cultural activities (flower arrangement, Judo, Tea ceremony, gold-leaf craft) in the afternoons. There is a field trip to Mt. Hakusan (one of the 3 sacred mountains in Japan along with Mt. Fuji and Mt. Tateyama), Shirakawago (world cultural heritage) and Hida-Takayama. A beach and BBQ is also held at Masuhogaura, a beautiful quiet secluded beach located in the Noto peninsula.
