Samurai Kanazawa

Students from the School of Future Learning as part of the seminar classes held by Professor Sachio Takeda and Professor Takanori Hasegawa carried out the 4th session of the "Samurai Kanazawa" project to introduce the rich samurai cultural history of Kanazawa city to the world.

On this particular occasion, students dressed up as samurai and ninja, visited the Higashi Chaya-gai, or the Eastern Tea-District of Kanazawa and mingled with the locals as well as tourists passing through to promote the cultural history of this area as well as deepening ties with the local people.

Also in the local area was Atsuya Furuta, player-manager for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows professional baseball club who was recording a special end-of-year documentary for Fuji TV. The group from Hokuriku University were interviewed for this program.
