Entrance Ceremony for 2014

The Entrance Ceremony for Hokuriku University was held on the 4th of April at the Honda-no-Mori Hall in Kanazawa City. A total of 602 new students including 249 students for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 303 students for the School of Future Learning and 50 students entering the Japanese Language Course attended the ceremony.

Chairman and President of Hokuriku University, Tsutomu Ogura gave the ceremonial address encouraging the new students to make the most of the opportunities presented to them during their time spent at university and to not only focus on learning new knowledge as knowledge itself is meaningless unless put into practice but to transform knowledge into wisdom and utilise this throughout their lives.

After each student's name was called out, a student representative from each faculty and department presented a pledge to Chairman Ogura stating their objectives and hopes during their time spent at university.

Kyoko Nishinaga, a 3rd year student from the Department of International Liberal Arts then gave a welcoming speech to all new students.
